Juli was born and raised in the Great Northwest, which fostered a great appreciation for the outdoors and wellness. She lives in Columbia County with her loving husband, two wonderful kids, two rambunctious dogs, and two cats who believe they are royalty on a small farm.

Juli’s professional journey started out working as a therapeutic and treatment massage therapist for 17 years. Working in holistic medicine cultivated a passion for researching to improve health and wellness through teaching and sharing that knowledge. After caring for a family member recovering from surgery, Juli knew she wanted to be a nurse at a young age. She completed nursing school prerequisites, a high school diploma, and an associate degree simultaneously; however, she started her nursing career ten years after starting a family. Juli has worked as a nurse for the last eight years in management in nursing homes, clinics, wound care, and primarily in mental health on an ACT team. In 2019, she completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing and a unique clinical experience working with children in the orphanages in Peru.

Juli gained experience working with individuals with severe persistent mental illness as an Assertive Community Treatment Registered Nurse in Columbia County for the last four years, promoting wellness through medication management, coordinating the medical system, decreasing withdrawal symptoms, monitoring signs and symptoms of adverse medication reactions, medical and non-medical case management, and promoting autonomy, Tobacco cessation as a Certified Tobacco Specialist, and motivational interviewing.

Juli enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active outdoors, hiking, running, walking the dogs, grounding in nature, Yoga, Jui Jitsu, reading, motivating fitness in others, nutritional eating, gardening, food prepping (canning and storing), and learning.

Juli will be starting in October. We will be outreaching to all ACT nurses to have a meet and greet. OCEACT will now be able to offer individualized nursing consultation to each team!
