ACT 101 provides an overview of the Assertive Community Treatment, or ACT model. ACT is an Evidence Based Practice with 50 years of research demonstrating efficacy. ACT 101 covers a brief history of the model, the proven outcomes, fidelity anchors including staffing requirements, leadership and supervision, specialist roles and duties, admission and discharge criteria, key treatment principles such as recovery orientation, community based practice, and community integration, and utilizes a variety of teaching methods including presentation, discussion, handouts and examples of written material, and videos.
